XIFR is majority-owned by NextEra Energy, one of the largest diversified energy companies in the world, where Jessica has spent the greater part of the past decade serving in multiple finance and investment, stakeholder management and strategy roles with increasing responsibility. Jessica’s draw to NextEra Energy after a decade in various finance and investment roles in New York and Los Angeles is based on her strong belief that capital flows will define the future of energy and there is no better platform upon which to drive change in the energy sector.
Jessica started her career in energy equity trading and venture capital and as a founding member of clean energy debt and private equity funds with roughly $2 billion of assets under management. One of the most notable of these funds is the New York Green Bank, which accelerated the national movement that inspired creation of the $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund under the Inflation Reduction Act. Jessica also previously served in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she helped develop finance and securitization policies to support growth in clean technology adoption.
Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia University and two master’s degrees, one in energy & the environment and the other in business administration, from Yale University. She currently lives in West Palm Beach with her husband and three children and is an active participant in her community, including as a Member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Palm Beach County and the Coalition for Green Capital.
