Britt E. Ide is the President of Ide Energy & Strategy. Ms. Ide has 25+ years of business, engineering and legal experience, including deep utility and energy industry experience.
Ms. Ide serves on the Board of Directors and the Audit and Governance & Innovation Committees of NorthWestern Energy (NYSE: NWE), a vertically-integrated, gas and electric utility. She has worked on all sides of energy issues including with associations (American Gas Association, Electric Power Research Institute, Edison Electric Institute, Northwest Public Power Association), industrial users (Boise Cascade), large commercial users (Albertsons), utilities (including PacifiCorp, Idaho Power, LA Department of Water & Power and Columbia Gas), NGOs, developers and regulators.
As President of Ide Energy & Strategy, Ms. Ide consults on energy policy, strategy and collaboration. She serves as a Clean Energy Advisory Board Member for a US Department of Energy/MIT/Stanford collaboration (C3E) and is on the Fulbright Roster of Specialists. Ms. Ide was an invited keynote speaker to Santiago, Chile on corporate governance and energy.
Ms. Ide previously served as the outside Chair of the Board of Directors of PCS Edventures (OTC:PCSV), that sells experiential science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education tools. Her nonprofit board service includes: the Energy Policy Institute at the Center for Advanced Energy Studies at the Idaho National Laboratory and the Hotrock Energy Research Organization (furthering Enhanced Geothermal Systems).
Ms. Ide holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. in Environmental Engineering, and Juris Doctorate. She is an experienced facilitator of solutions and has a Certificate in Mediation from Harvard. Ms. Ide is also a National Association of Corporate Directors Board Leadership Fellow.
