Devin is the Program Director at Coalition for Green Capital and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Asheville specializing in political economy and data science. They completed their Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2023 where they developed an expertise in public banking, including developing an original global database of public bank formation and analyzing the intersection between climate finance and public banking through individual and collaborative research projects.
Prior to graduate school, Devin worked in the community development finance and cooperative sectors for several years by serving on the board of a multi-home housing cooperative and working at a national CDFI loan fund cooperative. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy Analysis and Business from Indiana University in 2015.
As Program Director at CGC, Devin is excited to contribute their research training and community development finance background to support information and data management as well as to use their expertise in public banking and passion for environmental justice to advance the green banking movement.
