Howard Li

Howard is a Vice President at the Coalition for Green Capital, supporting clean technology investments and expanding the footprint of green banks across the US.

Before joining CGC, Howard was a Project Leader in the sustainability practice at McKinsey & Company, where he served numerous clients across the private and nonprofit sectors on risk, analytics, climate, and ESG topics.

Prior to his consulting career, Howard spent over 10 years working at the intersection of sustainability and finance. As a Vice President on the Environmental & Social Risk Management team at Citigroup, Howard was responsible for overseeing environmental due diligence, sustainability-labeled transactions, and helped develop the bank’s policies on ESG topics. He also has extensive experience leading sustainable development initiatives for international organizations including the United Nations and the World Wildlife Fund.

Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE), a Master’s from the Hertie School of Governance, and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
